Imperial Janitorial Services receives several frequently asked questions from our clients, especially regarding our home cleaning services and cleaning tips. Read our questions and answers below and feel free to ask us any additional questions.
I have heard about Green Seal certified products. What is Green Seal, and are these products beneficial?
An independent eco label based in the U.S., Green Seal identifies products that protect people from toxic chemicals and fumes. These cleaning solutions greatly reduce the impact on the environment and negative impact on your health.
Do I need to be present in my home or office when Imperial Janitorial Services comes to clean?
Absolutely not—many customers prefer not to be home, and we can easily clean at a time that won’t disrupt your normal routine.
What should I do with my pets during the house cleaning?
If you have pets, please let us know and provide us with any information that may be helpful for us to know. We prefer for pets to be restricted from the areas being cleaned so they do not walk through wet surfaces, spill any of the products, or get under the feet of our cleaning crew.
What if something gets damaged during the cleaning appointment?
In the rare, unfortunate event that something gets broken, we will make every effort to promptly replace or repair the item. We are fully ensured to guarantee the safety of your possessions.
Do I pay for the cleaning service before or after you clean?
We ask that you pay before the appointment on the day of the service. For bi-weekly scheduled cleanings, you can set up automatic withdrawals, pay for a set of visits in advance, or pay before each service.
What are some ways to make cleaning faster and more bearable?
Time how long it takes to do each chore. Most of the time, you’ll realize it only takes 10 to 15 minutes. Another tip: walk around each room with a laundry basket and toss in everything that doesn’t belong in that room. Then you can quickly put the items away in the proper place.
What are some natural or homemade cleaning supplies I can use to save time and money?
Coffee grounds placed in the fridge get rid of lingering odors quickly. White vinegar is a versatile cleaning agent—use it everywhere from your dishwasher to your washing machine. Use play dough or silly putty to clean up tiny pieces of glass without cutting your fingers. Lemon juice works great for removing deposits from your shower heads and faucets.
